Bank of Baroda and FSSAI Launch Web-Based FSSAI Payment Solution

FSSAI Payment Solution

New Delhi: Bank of Baroda has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to roll out a tailor-made, web-based payment platform named the FSSAI Payment Solution.

The partnership aims to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and financial oversight for FSSAI and its affiliated bodies.

The MoU was formally signed by Cdr Sharad Aggarwal, Director at FSSAI, and Mini TM, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head, New Delhi Zone, Bank of Baroda.

The ceremony was attended by senior officials including Rachna Mishra, General Manager, Government Relationship, and other regional leaders from both organizations.

About the FSSAI Payment Solution

The newly developed FSSAI Payment Solution is a secure, IT-enabled platform that integrates digital payment capabilities for:

  • Disbursement of grants
  • Vendor and service provider payments
  • Management Information System (MIS) functions
  • Monitoring and control of nodal, state, and district-level child accounts

This centralized solution is designed to optimize fund flow, offering real-time tracking, reduced manual intervention, and improved financial governance.

It is expected to significantly enhance the ease of doing business for stakeholders engaging with FSSAI across India.

“This partnership aligns with our digital-first vision to deliver scalable financial solutions to government institutions. The FSSAI Payment Solution represents our commitment to technological innovation in public finance,” said a spokesperson from Bank of Baroda.

By enabling seamless transactions and transparent fund allocation, the platform is set to support FSSAI in achieving more accountable and responsive financial processes, especially in schemes involving multi-level fund disbursal and grant monitoring.
